Leonie was born and brought up in South Australia. Though she was identified with dyslexia when she was a kid, she always wanted to be an astronaut. As she grew up, she was showing keen interest in botanical gardens, extreme sports, helicopter rides, gardens again and natural landscapes. Her parents inspired her to continue with her education in Flinders University and she graduated with Physics and Maths.
An interesting casual conversation with her brother who worked in Australian army then, inspired her to apply for Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF). It was a time, 40 years ago, only handful of women were working with RAAF. Life is full of surprises in every turn and Leonie’s application got accepted by RAAF. Her skills are evolved through vast and varied experience in Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF). She served for more than 20 years, during this period she developed her capability in training people, dealing with people from different walks of life and managing professional performance.
She played Senior officer role in RAAF and got opportunities to train engineers, and implement equal opportunity initiatives
She picked up many trainings and skills as part of this, such as
- Running the Empowering women group in USA
- Mentorship with Lifeline Australia.
- Volunteering with Botanical gardens Australia
- Diploma of Education
- Lifeline Australia training
- Enormous amount of Personal Development trainings in US with renowned experts
- Key2Me Australia training
All these experiences helped her to evolve personally, handle emotions way better, and more than anything to trust herself and the potential. She was able realise the Synchronicity in life and everyone else’s life. This inspired vision made her to spread the message and leading to a difference in people’s life.
